Room 3 News

November 2019

Dear Room 3 Families,

Thank you for your support for your second grade readers!!  We are reading more and more.

We will be reading nonfiction books in class.  Our library books can be chapter books or nonfiction.

Math Homework:  I am assigning 4 pages (2 pages back to back) for math homework for the next several weeks.  Please let me know at conference time if this is too much homework.  We can make a plan :)

Thank you to all Room 3 families for a wonderful conference week :)

Great job on turning in homework folders each Thursday.

Thank you!!!

The Room 3 Field Trip to the Martinez Library was wonderful!  Thank you to all of our chaperones :)

The students did check out books.  I know Ms. Margaret is looking forward to seeing our Room 3 students at the public library.

Thank you for supporting your students.

Reading at home is a very important component of homework.  I have an account with Scholastic Book Club. This is a great way to find books to read.  If you wish to use Scholastic there is an easy to use website.   Room 3 code is M8RWM.    I am a big fan of the public library!     Room 3 goes to the JME library every Tuesday.  The students bring home their library books on Tuesday and bring them back to school on Friday.   Keep reading.
