INTERPRETATION SERVICES REQUESTS

Martinez Unified School District celebrates the home languages of each of our students.  We recognize that families may need interpretation services in order to access services and communicate with school district personnel.  We can provide interpretation services when needed.  Please call Monifa Morgan (925-335-5966) should you require interpretation services.

Students in grades 1-5, at all four elementary schools in the Martinez Unified School District, actively engage in the California requirement of 200 minutes of Physical Education every 10 days.  In order to assure compliance with this legal requirement, each site has established “Prep C” protocols for those grade levels that may not reach the 200 minute requirements due to minimum days, teacher prep, and / or assemblies.  These established practices of running laps, dance & movement, and cardio-conditioning outside of the PE class are documented and verified by the site administration on a monthly basis.

MAKE EVERY DAY COUNT!

Good school attendance equals a good reader!

Research shows that students who are chronically absent in Kindergarten and first grade are far less likely to read proficiently by 3rd grade.

This holiday season, the best gift you can give your child is a good education. And the best place to get that education is in school. Every day. On time.

Give your child the gift of attendance and help build a habit of attendance.

Too Sick for School? View guidelines from the Contra Costa Health Services Department and the American Academy of Pediatrics to help you make the decision about when to keep your child home from school.

Parking lot will be open for Woodbridge before 8am, after 3 pm, and for PM Kindergarteners in the middle of the day. The area directly beyond the upper parking lot will now be a red zone to prevent cars from backing into children by the crosswalk and for better traffic flow.

*The lower parking lot (by Kindergarten) is now designated for parent parking only. THIS IS NOT A DROP OFF OR PICK UP ZONE.

*To pick up or drop off your child, you can either, park and walk to pick up/drop off OR pull up to the front of the school in the pick-up/drop-off zone.  Please don’t use your cell phone in our pick up/drop off lane.  Please never park in the parking lot or across the street and have your children cross to meet you on their ownthis can be very dangerous for our students!
